The increasingly interconnected fabric of digital spaces increases the need to make payments in real time and securely. It is important for everyone to have a high level of security when carrying out transactions to avoid unpleasant surprises such as theft, intrusions or involuntary sharing of their personal data.

In this context, the pagoPA service has stood out with great relevance in recent years: the electronic payment management system developed by the Agency for Digital Italy (AGID).

In addition to being a platform, it represents  a complete system that adapts to the needs of anyone who wants to make payments securely and immediately, ensuring not only convenience but also a clear understanding of the costs incurred.

This innovative system simplifies the payment process, and also offers a flexible range of options through which to manage your financial transactions. From online access to offline modes, from transparent cost details to payment opportunities across a wide range of institutions, pagoPA has established itself over time as an essential element in modern economic and financial infrastructure.

What to pay with pagoPA

The pagoPA system goes far beyond its reputation as a manager of taxes and bills. Accessible from websites and participating physical points such as newsagents, tobacconists or banks, it offers a range of options that simplify digital transactions.

With pagoPA you can quickly pay bills, taxes and much more. From the power and gas bill to the university tuition, fines or the car tax, everything becomes manageable with a single tool. Access is designed to be simple: you activate the service by providing a valid email address and you are immediately ready to pay.

The pagoPA system is not only digital: it also integrates perfectly with paper bulletins. Just scan the QR code with the institution's App or go to an affiliated point of sale.
pagoPA is flexible: it can be used through various channels, from the creditor institution's website to the ATM and even the various payment apps.

In short, pagoPA simplifies your financial life in an increasingly digital world.
Furthermore, pagoPA automatically updates the amount due and immediately ensures that the institution has correctly received the payment.

How to pay with pagoPA online

The pagoPA platform allows you to choose between the most diverse channels and payment methods, giving you the possibility of clearly viewing the commission costs for each method and reassuring customers users regarding the correctness of the charge.

To make a payment with pagoPA, you can:

  • Visit the website of the creditor body concerned and follow the options provided by the transaction manager;
  • Use home banking or your bank's app, making the online payment directly from your current account;
  • Use the different Apps available for payments, scanning the QR code connected to each pagoPA payment notice;

Furthermore, it is also possible to make payments offline by going to any physical point of affiliated merchants displaying the pagoPA logo.

How to view and recover payments made with pagoPA

To view the payments made there are multiple possible options, each tailored to meet the different needs of users.

For people who rely on home banking services, it is possible to consult the receipt archive within the history of payments made. An equally simple and widespread way consists in receiving a copy of the receipt via e-mail from the Payment Service Provider (PSP) to your e-mail address.

Through apps and/or websites that offer payment services it is possible not only to make payments, but where applicable, also to view all the details relating to past transactions in a single interface. This tracking tool provides users with the ability to keep a detailed track of their payments as well as have receipts in digital format.

How to download pagoPA payment receipts

After completing a payment via pagoPA, you will receive a payment confirmation certifying the transaction. Each payment contains the creditor institution code, the payment advice code, the amount paid and the payment date.

Payment receipts can be downloaded:

  • Through your email address following  completion of the operation.
  • From the website of the institution or PSP used for the payment, following the specific procedure of the manager.
